Few things in life are more satisfying than indulging my love of wildlife photograhpy. However early the start, however cold the weather, however long the wait, I find peace and satisfaction in taking the time to observe and record wild creatures – from stately deer in Scotland to wild macaques in Japan, I love taking the time to get to know a species (or, occasionally, having to work under pressure to get the right shot quickly – macaques don’t sit still!). Above everything else, I love bird photography. Whether it’s a kestrel braced against a snowstorm or a chaffinch belting song, something about birds keeps me glued to my viewfinder. Wildlife photography complements my travel photography and journalism, underlining my main area of work as someone obsessed with nature and adventure travel. My wildlife photography has been published in BBC Wildlife Magazine, adventure.com and the Daily Mirror, and is carried by major stock libraries including Alamy, Macaulay and SWNS. If you’d like to purchase a print, please get in touch.
