Story. Purpose. Impact.

Video production for outdoor brands, charities and educational organisations

What I offer

I provide video production services to purpose-driven organisations and the people behind them to help tell their story in short films, campaign videos and motion graphics. Based in Gloucestershire and within easy reach of Bristol, Bath, Birmingham and Cardiff, I work across the UK and overseas on video production services for clients in nature, travel, education and social impact.

I bring a background in video news journalism for the UK’s national press agency, campaign videography for charities and agencies, and years of experience planning and running campaigns for charities and the Royal Air Force.

Away from my camera or computer, I love to hike, write, make photographs and share my passion for the natural world with young people as a Scouts leader – all activities that fuel my creativity.

Story, purpose and impact: these are the things that drive me in life and at work. If that’s what you’re looking for in your videography, let’s talk.

What I can create for you

My video production services include:

  • Promotional videos
  • Campaign storytelling
  • Mini documentaries
  • Motion graphics and logo animation
  • Social media content packages

I don’t film corporate events or weddings, but I’m happy to edit footage in collaboration with other photographers and videographers.

Who I work with

I prefer to work with organisations that are driven by social and environmental purpose – especially those working to improve people’s access to nature, or to help young people explore the world around them. So I like working with:

  • Outdoor and adventure brands
  • Travel and tourism operators
  • Educational organisations and youth programmes
  • Environmental and social impact charities
  • Professional videographers, photographers and agencies seeking support with scripting, editing and graphics

My clients have included Sands, Anti-Slavery International and PA Media, and I’ve provided video production and motion graphics through agency partnerships to the Stroke Association, the Dames Commander Society and the Association for Laboratory Medicine. Through my work as a video journalist, I’ve also filmed stories about a wide range of businesses and organisations including ZSL London Zoo, the Dickens Museum, Legoland Windsor and the RSPB.

My approach

I like to work closely with clients to help them shape and express the story they’re trying to tell, and to understand how this can be achieved in video form. I’ll set out my terms and conditions and quote when we agree the project scope.

Ideally, I’d like to take time to share ideas, understand your brand and style guide, and refine a script with you before the camera starts rolling. But equally, as a journalist I’m used to filming stories without much time to prepare at all – so if you’re story-rich but time-poor, I can help you too.

My background in journalism, hiking and military service means I’m adaptable and comfortable working in tough or remote conditions. I use a Sony a7R IV, a superb high-resolution camera that suits my need for light and robust kit for use in remote areas. I usually shoot solo and edit remotely, but I’m comfortable with quick edits on location when necessary.
