Alongside my work as a photographer, I conduct professional videography as a video journalist, and documentary and commercial filmmaker. I have experience shooting interviews with public figures and celebrities, major film premieres, arts events, political protests, sporting events and commercial videos for business clients. My freelance clients include the UK’s national press agency and a major news broadcaster, as well small businesses and people looking for personal work. My work has taken me from the sound and fury of political protests, to the tranquillity of summer mountaintops.
I’m skilled with a range of different video cameras, ranging from my highly mobile Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II – perfect for shooting in remote locations – to dedicated film cameras like the Sony FS5 and Canon C200. I’m a quick and highly creative editor, with experience across major editing platforms including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X and Avid NewsCutter. Whether working in the field or in studios, I shoot news and documentary content, b-roll and interviews with the attention to detail you’d expect from a video journalist whose work has appeared on ITV and across the UK’s major news websites.
I was trained by the Armed Forces’ professional broadcaster, the British Forces Broadcasting Service, and bring my extensive experience as a military communications professional to every project. At every stage of production – from consultation to storyboarding, health and safety, concept development and editing – my clients are assured of an outstanding level of professionalism and creativity. Shooting videos helps me tell amazing stories – and if you have a story to tell, about yourself or your business, I’d love to explore how professional videography can help you to get it across.
Please take a look at my show reel above – and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are looking for a hard-working, creative and skilled videographer or editor for your project.
