Street photography was what started me on my journey to become a professional photographer. From the first day I explored Abu Dhabi, shooting candid portraits of strangers, I was hooked. And I still am.

Over the years I’ve noticed that the street photographs that move me most are those that focus on moments of solitude or contemplation, usually in urban spaces. Perhaps they speak to me because sometimes I feel most alone when I’m in a crowd. Perhaps those moments of solitude are actually postive: mindful interludes, relief from the burden of everyday concerns. However you choose to interpret these pictures, I hope they move you as they do me.

These pictures were made in London, Doha, Brussels, San Sebastian and New York, both digitally and on black and white film.
