Japan travel photography for Pride Life article

In 2018 Pride Life magazine commissioned me to write a 2,000-word feature article about LGBT-friendly travel in Japan. To accompany the article I shot photography and portraiture ranging from landscapes in Kamikochi to profile images of a gay-owned B&B in Kyoto. A selection of images and the final story were published in the magazine’s winter 2018 edition. My blog contains a series of short stories using these Japan travel photographs.

“Andy Wasley has worked for me as a photographer and journalist for several years on Pride Life magazine, a glossy lifestyle quarterly. I cannot recommend his photography highly enough. His travel images, in particular, capture precisely and evocatively the spirit of the destinations he has visited, and he has a skilled eye for picking the best shots which stand out from those of less talented photographers.”
