Black and white portrait of Andy Wasley

A portrait, travel and lifestyle photographer and writer based in London.

My great joy in life is making photographs of beautiful places and interesting people. I can turn my skills to a wide range of photographic briefs, from demanding corporate portraiture to travel assignments – and as an established travel writer, I can provide compelling copy too.

I found my feet as a photographer on the streets of Abu Dhabi, and street photography and candid portraiture are still major interests for me. Among my photography heroes are Jane Bown, Matt Stuart, Paul Hart and Raymond Depardon. I have a great love of traditional darkroom practice and enjoy working with film when possible.

Outside photography you’ll find me running long distances, wandering off the beaten track or reading essays. That’s me… what about you? Is there a way that we can work together? Do get in touch – please drop me an email at so we can talk about how I can make pictures that make you, your project or your story shine.
